The very first Earth Day was enacted by Senator Gaylord Nelson of Wisconsin on April 22, 1970, as a grassroots effort to bring political attention to the environment. Forty years later and Earth Day is still going strong.
Eco Friendly Clothes or “Sustainable Fashion” are becoming more and more popular. Gone are the days when either of these terms refers to a brown potato sack sinched at the waste to form a dress, or burlap undergarments that make you prefer wearing nothing at all. Today’s Green Fashions are much more modern and polished than ever. The price is in line with comparable brands and products that are not “Green”, and chic pieces are available at all price points.
So, without having to worry about not looking fierce while at a summer cocktail party or paying an arm and half a leg for it, why are we all not investing in green fashion??
Here are some of our favorite Eco Friendly Fashions:
H&M Organic Garden Collection:
H&M has recently introduced a collection that is light on the environment and the wallet, with all items marked under $100.
The jewelry is hand stitched together with a single strand of organic fabric.
