If you are planning to attend a state fair this season on a budget, you had better think again.  Local entertainment at its best, but price gouging is widespread.  Friends of mine recently attended the Kentucky State Fair.  After parking, paying admission, having a bit to eat, something to drink (non-alcoholic), and, of course, a funnelcake, they shelled out almost $60.00.  This is without entering the midway or purchasing any souveniers.  I haven’t been to the fair in over 10 years, and I don’t plan to go back anytime soon.  Don’t you agree?
