Affiliate Summit Day 1

I finally made it to Boston for the Affiliate Summit Conference and the first day has concluded.  After taking quite a while to sign in and get my name badge, we headed upstairs to Online Generic pharmacy attend the “meet market”.  This event should be more accurately dubbed the “meat market” because attendees are corralled like cattle into a very small meeting area, similar to sardines in a can.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself today and received a plethora of complimentary tee shirts, ink pens, and other various novelty items emblazoned with logos of the affiliate companies represented at the summit.  I have also been introduced to several of the individuals who have employed my content writing services over the past month.   It is good to be able to associate faces with wickedfire screen names.

The Affiliate Summit is being held at the Seaport Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts.  It is a great venue for the event and provides me with the chance to see more of the east coast.  I recently traveled to Providence, RI, and have since acquired an appreciation for New England states, especially the architecture.  The seaport  area scenery is wonderful.  From the second floor event space where today’s meat market was held, there was a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean.

Even more spectacular were the views from Pier 4, a wonderful historic seafood restaurant just down the street from the Boston Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center.

Pier 4 is a charming white tablecloth restaurant with antique nautical detail.  The food was quite good, and the service provided by the crew of geriactric waitors was decent at best.  I enjoyed a pureed gazpacho  appetizer and and entree of crab cakes with red pepper cream sauce.  Thank you to Geofferson of Advaliant for treating us to lunch.

After a long day of networking and socializing I am exhausted and have retired to the hotel to relax.  Justin informs me that tomorrow will be even longer because the number of affiliate companies and attendees will more than triple that of todays.  Something to look forward to, I suppose.  Goodnight for now.
